My top 5 things I expect a second shooter to photograph during a wedding. Second shooting a wedding may seem like the opportunity to build your portfolio, but you are enhancing the main photographer’s wedding gallery. Dont shoot over their shoulder so you deliver the exact same images they already shot. Try these instead:
1. Photographing the main photographer in action or vendors working.
2. Photographing portraits of guests.
3. Photographing guest reactions.
4. Detail photos- from reception tables to sweet moments someone may have missed.
5. Artistic shots- experiment with flash, blur, ambient light, etc.
