Took inspiration from a dollar store DIY and made jack-o-lantern candle holders. 🎃
SUPPLIES
- 2 black taper candle holders from @Dollar Tree
- 2 small jack-o-lantern buckets
- Hot glue gun
- 2 LED tea lights
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Heat hot glue gun. Then, add glue to tops of candle holders.
2. Press jack-o-lanterns onto candle holders and allow glue to dry.
3. Add LED tea lights and display.

I remade one of my favorite Halloween dessert recipes this afternoon - Dirt and Worm Chocolate Pudding. 🪱 All you need is a box of instant chocolate pudding, chocolate cookies, and gummy worms to make this spooky treat that kids and adults alike will love!
INGREDIENTS
1 - 3.9 oz. box instant chocolate pudding
2 cups chocolate animal crackers, or Oreos
Gummy worms
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Prepare pudding according to package and chill in fridge while preparing other ingredients.
2. In a food processor or blender, add chocolate cookies and pulse until coarse crumbs remain.
3. Spoon a layer of pudding into the bottom of a cup or glass.
4. Follow with a layer of cookie crumbs.
5. Repeat until you reach the top of the glass.
6. Top with gummy worms and serve immediately, or chill in fridge before serving.
I got two cocktail glasses + a plastic coffin out of this recipe. If you’re making this for a crowd, it’s easy to multiply!

I decided to jump on the tomato cage ghost bandwagon and created this viral Halloween decoration. 👻
All you need is a handful of supplies from the dollar store + a tomato cage. I also wrapped a string of solar lights around the tomato cage so the ghost lights up at night.
If you're worried about the ghost tipping over, use metal stakes (I took them from some of our Christmas decorations) to stake the ghost into the ground.

1. Plant in soil with good drainage.
2. Feed plants with a nitrogen based plant food. It’ll help them produce those gorgeous blooms!
3. Make sure they’re watered regularly, but not kept soggy. Mums like to stay on the wetter side, but soggy soil could cause root rot. Water about every other day.
4. Deadhead any spent flowers. This helps the mums use their energy to grow more flowers.
And a bonus tip: choose plants with more buds on it than flowers, if possible. That way you’ll have more new growth to enjoy through the fall!

Last week, I decided to make a pizza inspired soup. I wanted the flavors of a slice of pizza in a cozy warm bowl of soup. I made it slightly healthy, too, by using chicken sausage and a bunch of veggies.
And because it's not pizza without cheese, before serving, I added a sprinkle of shredded Parmesan cheese on top. This soup was everything I wanted it to be and more!

This recipe is simple. Score, boil, peel, and blend. After that, you can season and cook the tomatoes however you like!

You know all of those cherry tomatoes you have growing in your garden? 🍅 Here's what you can make with them!
Cherry Tomato Jam:
INGREDIENTS
Estimated 2 pints worth cherry tomatoes, quartered
1/4 cup sugar
3 tbsp. apple cider vinegar
1/4 cup water
1 tsp. salt
3 large garlic cloves, sliced
A sprinkle of black pepper
1 small sprig rosemary
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Add everything but the rosemary to a pot and simmer.
2. Lower the heat and cover the pot.
3. Cook down for 25-45 minutes, stirring occasionally, until everything has started to thicken and reduce down into a loose, but jammy consistency.
4. During the last 5-10 minutes, add the rosemary.
5. Allow the tomato jam to cool before storing in jars in the refrigerator.
Spread a little on top of ricotta toast. 🤌🏻

Made a slight variation of my Tortellini Pasta Salad with Shaved Brussels Sprouts and Pomegranate recipe.
I used halved Brussels sprouts instead of shaved, balsamic instead of red wine vinegar for the dressing, and didn’t have walnuts or shaved Parmesan. Still a really yummy pasta salad!

4. Allow the plaster to dry, about 30 minutes. Then, add moss on top.

I found this skeleton candy bowl at @target . 💀 I legit thought it was a planter because that’s how my brain works.
So I took it home, pondered whether or not I really could turn it into a planter, and here’s what we’ve ended up with!
The bowl is shallow so you can either plant directly into the bowl or use a small pot inside. Either way, I recommend drilling drainage holes in the bowl and the bottom of the skeleton.
While I think any plant would look cool inside this candy bowl, it really does look cool with a trailing succulent inside, like my string of fish hooks.
