Ăingvellir (pronounced #Thingvellir ) National Park in Iceland!
Simply stunning!
One of the last places I visited on my #SoloAdventure .
A lot of people go here first but I left it till the end of the last full day.
After 3-1/2 days of fog and rain driving in the Eastern and Southern Regions, the sun finally started coming out but it was around 7:30 pm by then.
I stayed in the park till about 8:30 before heading to #Revkjavik and my last night in #Iceland .

Love this Mongolian music
and thought it went well with these bubbling hot springs of Iceland.
These are located at Gunnuhver and Myvatn, two volcanic hot spring areas that I visited on my solo adventure in the land of fire and ice.

A waterfall you may miss on your Iceland tour if travelling anti-clockwise.
Itâs located opposite a cafe that is now closed but itâs still worth stopping even on a miserable rainy day like it was when I visited.
Without the rain thereâd be no waterfalls!

This is #GrĂłfarlĂŠkjarfoss, one of many #waterfalls in southern #Iceland.
The weather was crappy when I visited so the top is shrouded with fog. On a good weather day, it would be even more wonderful.
Thereâs a short, uphill, relatively easy hike to get close & lupins growing everywhere. They werenât blooming yet in May when I visited but I saw a few buds forming. I bet it was stunning in June when theyâd be bursting with colour!

Notice the patterns in the snow caused by millions of fragments of eroded #volcanicrock being blown around by the power of the waterfall.
I was there quite a while taking loads of pics from various spots even though it was bitterly cold, wet & windy đ

#Oxarafoss #Waterfall located in Ăingvellir National Park. A highlight at the end of my #soloadventure in #Iceland . I had the place to myself for a while and got to drink the water which you can reach from the boardwalk. It was the freshest water I have ever tasted. I just wanted to bottle it and take it home with me.
