There’s nothing WRONG with the phrase “I’m gonna make it happen.” ⁠
⁠
Sometimes, for me, it feels SUPER empowering to say that. ⁠
Sometimes, for me, that sentence inspires me to charge forward. ⁠
⁠
But picture this:⁠
⁠
If I point to a large rock and I tell you “try lifting that, it’s so heavy!”

What will happen? You’ll put a TON of effort in.
But if the rock is made out of foam, that effort would have been wasted.

Often, I see clients looking towards a future situation with fists clenched, telling themselves “it’s going to be so challenging!!”

And in doing so, they are inadvertently increasing the difficulty of that thing.

Maybe it was difficult before, but their change skills have grown and so now they can handle it with ease.
Maybe it’s not as difficult as it seems, but because they’ve TOLD themselves it’s “so hard”, they memorize & notice the difficulty instead of the ease of it.

As I adjust to my new routine, my brain wants to think that sticking with it will be “so hard.”

I’ve been asking myself:

What if it was easy?
What if all I had to do was let go?
What if I could let it happen?

And the results have been magic.
Personally, I choose to focus on frequency rather than consistency... There's a subtle difference between the two. Full video is 🔗 in my bio.
