I used this wig in a sketch I cowrote with @iamahob about two cousins from PA who work at Home Depot and whose greatest pet peeve is people who think they can do their own home repairs cuz they "googled it on Youtube". Wig #2: I bought this wig for a sketch I cowrote with the amazing #erinberry called Crooked House. It's about two construction workers who really take their time building houses because they grew up in crooked houses and will be gol-durned if they're gonna build another crooked house. Wig #3: I found this wig in the lost and found @The Groundlings. (If this wig belongs to you, please let me know! 😱) I used it in a sketch I cowrote with the delightful @Andres Parada. It's about two middle school teachers whose lives were changed by their experience in marching band and whose mission in life is to get as many kids to sign up for band as possible. Kell had the idea to do a therapy session in which The Therapist only ever asks "How does that make you feel?", emphasizing different words each time she asks it. I loved the idea and decided to try it. It ended up being a perfect opportunity for The Perfectionist to voice their frustrations about Jemi's (my new cat) interference in their daily work (see last week's video!). It has now been four months since Jemi entered our lives and I think this video is a pretty good representation of how my inner perfectionist is dealing with this very new presence in my life. There are some very frustrating moments...and then there are the moments where my heart is cracked wide open and having Jemi on my lap feels like all I need in this world.
