Another fun candle and origami workshop under the belt! I had a great time with today group. Everybody was new to both candles and origami but they embraced the challenge and it’s always so good to see them so proud of their creations at the end of the class. And rightly so! All origami cranes turned out fabulous and our Wood Sage and Sea Salt was the favourite scent of the class with 4 people choosing it! Thank you guys for coming over and spending some time with me while I babbled away about different kinds of wax, types of scents, colour and more. You all did great! And thank you to @artsforallbelfast for lending us the awesome venue! Missed this one? Keep and eye out. More dates coming soon! #chandler #candleworkshop #origami #origamiwork #candlemaking #Belfast #belfastbusiness #madeinbelfast #madeinnorthernireland
Have you ever wondering how we make our little boxes? Check out the behind the scenes of our latest collab with @essentiallybirth. You’ll see in the video that is a long artisanal process but everything is packed with a lot of love and care! Whenever you buy from a small business like me, you’re not just buying the product, you are also buying the process. #belfastbusiness #smallbusinessni #belfastmum #belfastmums #birth #hypnobirthing #aromatherapy #collab #babymassages #essentialoils
It’s Mental Health Awareness Week, so I decided to be more mindful of my everyday actions, especially my breathing for the past few days.
When we take deep breaths, signals are sent to our brains, telling us to calm down and relax. These messages are translated throughout our bodies, reducing tension and relieving stress when we feel anxious or overwhelmed.
So, I started to practice the box breathing technique. I became conscious of how the air filled my lungs and stomach. I held my breath for a count of four, exhaled for another count of four, and then held my breath again for a count of four. I repeated this process:
Breathe in for 4
Hold for 4
Breathe out for 4
Hold for 4
I can safely say that at the end of the week, I fell asleep much faster after focusing on my breathing, and it also helped me organize my many noisy thoughts. I will definitely continue to practice box breathing. Have you never done it before? Give it a try! Let's breathe together.
