In 2021 at the age of 32 I went to work at the Amazon warehouse in Lebanon Tennessee. After 14 full time years in the music industry I was at the end of the rope. There was no way for me to make it work any longer financially. So I went back to square one and I found myself in the shoes of my dad who worked long, hard hours in the furniture factories of East Tennessee to take care of mom and us kids. He’d wake up at 5, pack his lunch box, get home around 7pm. This was the life I was now living. I got a lot closer to him in this time and I learned up close and personal what I had been out of touch with for a while - that people are working so hard out there just to survive. It put all my musical disappointments in a new light and I can never look at this career the way that I did before. I will never forget what a gift it is to now be in this position again.
