Did you know 70% of oranges sold in the US come from Florida? That’s close to 11 million tons per year!
Besides being tasty, oranges can be used for cleaning. The oils from the peels have natural de-greasing properties. Studies have shown that citric acid and ascorbic acids (Vitamin C) can have disinfectant and antibacterial agents.
I was recently juicing and decided to make orange peel and vinegar cleaning solution for my kitchen! Not only does it smell like summer, but it’s great at getting my kitchen clean, naturally.
To make the solution:
🍊 Fill a jar (that has a lid!) with orange peels.
🍊 Cover the peels in distilled white vinegar and add your lid.
🍊 Store your peels and vinegar in a cool, dark place for a few weeks. (I kept mine under my sink!)
🍊 Strain the orange peels and keep the liquid.
🍊 Add mixture to a spray bottle.
🍊Happy cleaning!
What else can you do with orange peels?!

Replying to @Hannah search painters tape quilting! I connected two diagonal corners with the tape, sewed along the blue edge, and adjusted the tape for the next row. The trick is that the width of each row is just the tape— no measuring and marking! After one direction is complete, I connected thd opposite corners and repeated the process. 💛#quiltinghacks
