Nice and cool weather for Monumental Marathon this year that made for a good day out there. So much support out on the course. Big thanks to my wife Amy for the perfectly executed handoff of fresh gels and a snack at mile 13. Thanks to my mom and Chris for spectating again this year! My mom captured the event on video 😁. Super happy to see a few other friendly faces popped up along the course to support!. Now to the final turn from New York to Capitol! @fishersrunningclub brings an amazing amount of support and I could hear them before I even hit Capitol! The cheers and cowbells gave me that energy boost I needed to get down to the finish! These people are truly amazing!

When we’re not doing runner things, there’s still rivers and whiskeys! A couple clips from our #guysafternoonin . The seas were angry and a good man went over. Fortunately it was about a foot of water and we were able to recover him and revive him with a shot of #fireball . Sadly, his beer was lost at sea. It was all made better when we discovered a dude with a #diy chair swing, a ski rope, and a 4-wheeler. Good times were had! #runnersnotrunning #riverthings #kayaking #whiskeyandbeer
#medalmonday late edition. @geisthalfmarathon was fantastic this year for a number of reasons. For one, September gave us some perfect weather! I also got to do this one with my wife Amy which made it even better. A big change for me this year was getting to be an ambassador for the race. I’ve tried a lot of new things over the last year. Had a great time promoting the race with interviews, photos, video, pop-up events, and even a few minutes on a live local morning show. Got to meet some great people too and make some new friends. Celebrating the race with the best running club around makes it even better! @fishersrunningclub always shows up!
