Run, don’t walk, to listen to episode 241 where I go into detail about what the reflecting, processing, and renewing cycle looks like and how to do it.
Doing a reflection cycle in both your teaching and home life isn’t just important, it’s necessary to finding success.
Reflection is about giving yourself time to stop and look backwards, even if you just look at yesterday or last week. You won’t know where to go unless you know where you’ve been.
Choose one or two areas to focus on and begin processing through them… both the highs and lows. Then only zone in on what you can control, not what you can’t control.
While processing, you’ll find the gaps and be able to see why something didn’t work so well or will recognize the positives.
The last step is renewal, which is being able to tackle those mindset beliefs that pop into your mind. Renewing is also about setting goals and identifying action steps to meet those goals.
To go deeper into all of this, come to the Reflect and Renew challenge happening May 8-10. To save your spot click on the link in my bio or head to… subscribepage.com/reflectandrenewchallenge

What is your personality like? Do you view your personality as an asset or hindrance?
This month in the Harmony elementary membership, #elementarymusic #musiceducation #musicteachersoftiktok #elementarymusicteacher we’re talking about using your unique personality in your teaching.
If it’s been a while since you’ve taken the time to identify your strengths and what sets you apart, ask those closest to you and then think of ways to use these ideas with your students.

I created the Curriculum Design Roadmap program to truly show you how to simplify lesson planning so you can get your time outside of school back.
