Changing self sabotage first requires redefining what self sabotage is.
And first and foremost, this redefining requires you to know that you are not *sabotaging* yourself. You are following an autonomic, unconscious impulse to stay with what is familiar.
This does not make you wrong.
It makes you a human with a functioning internal environment.
But… if you want to break the cycle, and start something new.
You first have to notice the patterns that you unconsciously seek.
Bring them from your unconscious, into your consciousness.
And…. Forgive yourself.
Acknowledge,
Okay, I see this now.
I see what I was doing.
And honestly, it makes so much sense.
Do this every single time that old pattern comes up. Because it will come up again, and again, and again.
Work on self-regulating your nervous system and/or co-regulating with nature + people around you, so you have the capacity to hold this acknowledgment, AND the access to affirm what you truly desire.
If you want the wildly expansive, loving relationship — remember you want it, notice the old patterns, then choose a new way to take action.
If you want the soul community and friends — remember you want it, notice the old patterns, then choose a new way to take action.
You can think of it like this:
Awareness
Re-Alignment
Action
… over and over and over again.
Cultivate compassion for what was, and take action on what can be. Teaching yourself, moment by moment, that you deserve it all ✨

The voices that say….
Everything is going to be okay.
You are worth it.
I’ve been waiting for you.
They’re there. And they have always been there.
It’s just a matter of feeling safe enough to divert your attention from the pain for only a moment, so you can hear what else is there.

Healing is an integration, a reclamation.
And the magic comes when you build the capacity needed to look at the sticky, uncomfortable parts of you that you thought you had to push away.
Because the reality is.. there was never any part of you that was wrong.
Never any part that you needed to ignore.
Nothing you ever had to fix.
You were whole all along. And now, you can let yourself be.
