In Ayurveda, the dosha system categorizes individuals into three types: Vata, Pitta, and Kapha. Your dosha type influences your skin’s sensitivity and needs. Here’s a general guideline:

• Vata: People with a Vata constitution tend to have delicate, sensitive skin. Dry brushing two to three times a week is typically sufficient for them, as daily brushing can be overly stimulating and potentially irritating.
• Pitta: Those with a Pitta constitution have more robust and sensitive skin. They can benefit from dry brushing three to four times a week but should avoid excessive pressure to prevent irritation.

The second mistake to avoid is dry brushing immediately after a meal. While dry brushing has numerous benefits for your skin and circulation, it’s essential to consider the timing. Dry brushing right after eating can disrupt the digestion process.

When you eat, your body directs blood flow to your digestive organs to help with the breakdown and absorption of nutrients. Dry brushing, which stimulates circulation, redirects blood away from your digestive system, potentially leading to slower digestion and discomfort.

To prevent this disruption, aim to dry brush at least an hour before or after eating. This allows your body to focus on digestion when needed and reap the full rewards of dry brushing without interference.

Mistake 3️⃣: Brushing Too Hard 🙅‍♀️
