We’re easing into productivity over here. I’ve been struggling with focusing, prioritizing, and it feels like “back to school” came sooner than I was ready for.
But here we are showing up anyway. Pushing through. Resting when necessary and setting boundaries. And it’s hard! Sometimes I lose my cool and sometimes I have it all together. It’s a constant ebb and flow. And mindful practices like journaling help me maintain and navigate under pressure. It helps me to remember to take time to simply be, process, and breathe. 🌿

Back to school is in full effect over here. Enjoy this video of me waking up in my daughters’ room this morning 🤣. We’ve managed to make it on time for two weeks but this waking up early thing requires discipline and routine which is where mindful practices come in and help to ease the transition from summer.
Here are five mindful tips to help you adjust your morning routine and ease into the changes:
💭𝗦𝗲𝘁 𝗖𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻𝘀: Before you even step out of bed, take a few moments to set an intention for your day. It could be as simple as “I will stay focused and productive” or as specific as “I will finish that report by noon.” Setting an intention provides a mental roadmap for the day ahead.
🧘🏽♀️𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝗳𝘂𝗹 𝗕𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗴: Incorporate a short breathing exercise into your morning routine. Spend 2-5 minutes focusing solely on your breath. Inhale deeply through your nose, hold for a few seconds, and exhale through your mouth. This helps clear your mind and prepares you for the day’s challenges.

Much of my mindfulness journey has been about self-discovery, self-love, and finding things that I genuinely enjoy. So recently, I’ve been on this personal mission to try all the chai’s 🤣. It’s something I’ve loved for decades & has become part of my daily routine.
So, I tried a new brand today and when you open the bottle (which is beautiful…I love great packaging 😅) it literally smells like Christmas. I’ve been practicing mindful eating and slowing down to appreciate what I’m consuming (aromas, colors, weight, consistency, etc.) So, trying this brand for the first time was even more memorable.
I made my chai iced because — summer — and it’s official that I now have a new favorite thing. It’s so rich, flavorful, and literally 10/10. Hope my siblings know this is what they’re getting for the holidays this year 🤣. Def reordering really soon because my family loves it and I had to share 🙄🤣.

Sometimes I find myself sitting in heavy energy and it lasts for days. I’m coming out of a period of grief and heavy energy. Death has a way of making you question…everything. It’s interesting, to say the least. I thought about my energy over the past week or so and decided to describe it as heavy versus negative or dark. I’m leaning into the practice of “counting it all joy”. Over the last week nothing I felt was particularly negative, just heavy and a bit overwhelming. And this time I felt myself processing, sitting with myself, and tapping into a peace that passed understanding. It wasn’t without tears, anger, and questioning but I was able to be present in every moment and through every feeling. And because of this, I feel whole. Sometimes we have to sit with ourselves and process to heal and grow. Here’s a new video design and style for part of a new journal entry series I’m releasing. Drawing has been her go to since she was about 1. It’s her safe place and provides a way for her to process and release her emotions in a safe and supportive environment. After she’s done drawing, we’ll usually talk about her picture and how her emotions relate to what she just drew.💛
