The benefits of being in nature have been proven time and time again. Our call to return to a more holistic and natural approach is a necessity in the climate of our times. In this snippet, David Hursthouse explains Piwakawaka Farm's approach to learning, which can only be achieved by actually being in nature. It's there that we might find the answers for today and tomorrow.

Loneliness can be a terrible thing, we're so lucky to have something like this that fosters connection and friendship. For some men and women, they've been able to combat that loneliness and find companionship in organisations like the Men's Shed. In this snippet, Ivan Stick tells us how he's been able to find community while having something constructive to do now in retirement. This story is all about encouraging connection.

Kia ora whānau! In this Good Mahi snippet, Nelson Lebo from The Eco School in Whanganui discusses their approach to food production, known as regenerative agriculture. While the concept of regeneration isn't a new concept, it has seen a resurgence worldwide, driven by our desire to care for the planet and its ecosystems. Nelson provides insights into their work at their eco school and how we can be apart of the journey of healing the land and therefore healing ourselves.

We've wrapped with all our Good Mahi Stories for the year so we thought we'd share all the awesome stories from incredible incredible individuals captured through out Whanganui, Ruapehu, South Taranaki and the Rangitīkei.
This is one of our first, The City Mission Whanganui. They provide essential food parcels to almost 3000 families every year, they are able to do this through the collective efforts of many organisations. From local fruit and vege supplier Laugesens Gardens to local supermarkets, school and churches, all coming together for the greater good.
This little snippet highlights the importance of individuals coming together to tackle some of the issues our society faces today. They're always looking for volunteers, people willing to give a hand.
