Keep reading this if you want to improve your English grammar and take your writing to the next level. There's nothing wrong with using thebword "because", but its always good to learn somethinf new. Let's check some different ways to say "because"!
1. Owing to / Due to: These two expressions mean exactly the same and can be used interchangeably. The best way you can think about how to use them is that they mean "because of". The word "of" is important! See the examples below:
a) Due to the change in inflation, the purchasing power of the population has decreased drastically. (because of the change in inflation, the purchasing power of the population has decreased drastically)
b) Owing to the incident we had earlier, there will be no party tonight. (Because of the incident we had earlier, there will be no party tonight)
If you want to use "owing to" and "due to" with the meaning of "because", you need to add "the fact that", like in the example below:
c) Due to the fact that I have a stomachache, I will not eat any more cake. (Because I have a stomachache, I will not eat any more cake)
2. Since: "since" can be used to talk about time, as in "I have lived in Ireland since 2015", but it can also mean "because", such as in the sentences below:
a) Since there is no reply, I take it she won't be coming over tonight. (Because there is no reply, I take it she won't be coming over tonight)
b) I'd love to play video games with you, but since I have work tomorrow, I'll have to go to bed now.
3. As: "as" is normally found in comparative situations (It's hot as hell today), or when you are describing somebody's job (example: I've been working as a teacher for more than 10 years), but it can also mean "because". Check it out:
a) He decided to go to the conference in Barcelona, as he was in Spain anyway.
Note how "as" seems to focus more on the result than the cause itself.

The IELTS exam (or any exam, actually) doesn't care if you have an accent. Instead, your focus should be on fluency and clarity. Those two things come through exercise and practice.
I have had so many students over the years telling me they hate their accent. Why would you hate it? Everybody has an accent (native people included). The "neutral" accent is a myth, liberate yourself from that terrible notion. Accents are fun!
What is your relationship with your accent? Do you like/dislike it? Have people said things about it before? I'd love to hear your thoughts and experiences in the comments!

IELTS tip: All these words don't change whether it's singular or plural. The only exception is fish, which changes depending on whether you're talking about fish of the same kind or different kinds!
🐟 = a fish
🐟🐟 = fish
🐟🐠 = fishes

You've probably already heard of people who learned English through music. You can like any song at all, but when it comes to LEARNING English through music, some songs can make your life easier, while some songs can make things a lot harder for you.
>> if the music you like is hard to understand, that's no reason to not like it or to find it bad! Continue to love it, but seek other songs to make your learning more fun and easier!❤️
