Hoboken HS Freshman participated in Rachel’s Challenge. Rachel’s Challenge is a non-political, non-religious, non-profit organization dedicated to creating positive school cultures and ending school violence in all its forms. By modeling a positive way to interact, we invite people – students, teachers, parents, everyone – to see each other differently. To see themselves differently. We show them the power they have inside, to ease the struggles that others feel, even as they rise above their own. Thank You to the Hoboken Public Education Foundation for providing this unique experience for our students. #HereWeComeHoboken

Last week we celebrated our 5 graduating seniors for the Class of 2024 in our Senior Night Game. A special thank you to all the families and friends of these 5 amazing seniors that supported them and the team during their time with the program. We want to wish Enya, Kayla, Krystal, Julissa, and Liania nothing but the best in their future endeavors and they will forever be a part of the Redwing Family! Thank you for all you have given to the program. “Once a Redwing, Always a Redwing”. #RedwingsVolleyball #HereWeComeHoboken

To commemorate and celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month, Our Sociedad Honoraria Hispanica took students out of the classroom to explore Hispanic Culture and the History of Latino identity in the USA. We explored the topics of diversity, contributions and art across cultures as a mode of communication and expression. Artists throughout time have used art-making as a way to examine important issues and questions in their lives and the world. Students considered this as they investigated artworks on display in the galleries. We visited multiple exhibits but spent the most time on "Going Dark" which presents more than 100 works by a group of 28 artists, the majority of whom are Black and Brown and more than half of whom are women. The works are mostly from 1980s to the present, but a few are from the 1960s and ’70s by three iconic artists—David Hammons, Faith Ringgold, and Charles White—suggesting that the development of Conceptual art (https://www.guggenheim.org/artwork/movement/conceptual-art) during these decades launched new pathways of expression that laid the groundwork for contemporary artists tackling the “edge of visibility” today. The themes of visibility vs invisibility were evident throughout. #HereWeComeHoboken
