Most people are advised to try to conceive for a full year before being offered any type of fertility testing (six months if you're over the age of 35).
But here’s the thing: Trying to conceive for a year can be an incredibly painful experience, and a lot of that pain may not be necessary. Going through that full year of trying without having access to any information about your own fertility — or your partner’s — only to learn after a year that there’s something that’s been impeding your ability to get pregnant feels so futile.
So why aren’t we normalizing the idea that people should have easier access to fertility testing — and the ability to control when they access information about their reproductive health — without having to follow a specific timeline? 💯

Today on Rescripted, we're sharing everything you need to know about fertility testing so you and your partner can better understand your fertility health and overall chances of conceiving — before potentially being diagnosed with infertility. Head to the 🔗 in our bio to read it!

One of the big things that can make failed implantation even harder to process is not knowing the reason *why.*
The possible causes can range from lifestyle (think smoking or obesity) to systemic (PCOS-related) to issues with the endometrium (or the uterine lining).
Endometriosis, specifically, is an inflammatory condition that can lead to hormonal imbalances and an endometrial lining that isn’t supportive enough for implantation.
If you suspect you have endometriosis, or if you’ve experienced recurrent implantation failure, you may want to consider asking your doctor about the @receptivadx test to check for BCL-6 expression associated with endometriosis, as well as CD138 to identify endometritis (a bacterial infection).
While the ins and outs of how endometriosis and failed implantation are connected are still being researched, there are things you can do today to help you feel more empowered on your fertility journey. You never know; it could make all the difference!
