Episode 21: On the Road Again! There's nothing harder than leaving a warm and comfy room for another 300 km on skis, pulling our heavy pulks. But we were actually pretty eager to tackle this part of the journey that gradually got us closer to familar areas, where friends could come to the rescue if needed. Goodbye lovely Pyramiden, thank you for the warm welcome! #Expedition #arctic
Ep. 19: welcome to Pyramiden!
What a warm welcome we got in beautiful Pyramiden. After a delicious meal, a shower and a comfy bed, our bodies could rest a bit for the first time in ten strenuous days. It was time to fix our small injuries, dry all our equipment, and sort our the food resupply for the next leg of the journey. But first, a little bit of exploration in town!

Ep. 18 part 2: in the eye of the storm
Get ready for more videos from our Climate Sentinels expedition!
After one big push to get closer to Pyramiden, we were forced to camp to weather yet another storm. The next morning, what looked like a short weather window convinced us to leave the safety of our tent and ski hard towards Pyramiden.

Ep. 17: another day, another storm
Crazy winds pinned us down for 2 more days and 2 nights. This abnormal weather is slowing our progress and making every step more dangerous than the last. We need to keep moving to avoid running out of food before our food depot in Pyramiden.

Ep. 15: getting the hell outta there After two nights sheltering in the snow cave we realised that we had two options: either be stuck there for several more days or try to leave and ski down the mountains where the winds are less horrible. We made a run for it but it was by far the most stressful day of the expedition so far. Don't be fooled by the blue skies, this was hell in disguise.

Ep. 14: "Winds up to 140 km/h" Our survival during our expedition was only made possible thanks to the amazing team of polar experts, scientists, friends from all over who sent us weather forecasts several times a day. The biggest storm of the expedition hit us hard, but luckily we had a few hours to prepare for it, and dig ourselves deep in the snow to avoid losing our tents. This is a huge thank you to all of these amazing human beings.

Ep. 12: crevasse land?On paper, the first few days of the expedition looks pretty challenging. The first glacier we had to ski on, Kongsvegen, had been gradually accelerating for years and we would likely be the first ones crossing its lower part on skis in 2021.#Svalbard #Arctic #expedition #climatechange
