Ozempic was made popular this year on social media from the Kardashian clan for weight loss. But what are the side effects?
Ozempic (semaglutide) is a glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) analog for the treatment type 2 diabetes, and to reduce the risk of major cardiovascular events in patients with type 2 diabetes and known heart disease. (From drugs.com)
Ozempic is indicated as:
➡️ An adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus.
➡️ To reduce the risk of major adverse cardiovascular events in adults with type 2 diabetes mellitus and established cardiovascular disease.
However, ozempic has led to an increase of hospitalizations and people should be aware about the long term side effects of this intervention. (Just read the warning label - see below)
“This drug has been shown to cause thyroid cancer in some animals. It is not known if this happens in humans. If thyroid cancer happens, it may be deadly if not found and treated early. Call your doctor right away if you have a neck mass, trouble breathing, trouble swallowing, or have hoarseness that will not go away.

Even though it may be rare, some people may have very bad and sometimes deadly side effects when taking a drug. Tell your doctor or get medical help right away if you have any of the following signs or symptoms that may be related to a very bad side effect:

Glyphosate is the main component of roundup which is ubiquitous in our world today. This ingredient was first discovered to clean the inside of tanks that were underground.

The term fast fashion comes from brands and designers that usually chose to use poor quality textiles to make their clothes. This comes at a price for the environment and for people.
These poor quality clothes and fabrics change the potential of the cellular membrane which can result in long term impacts on mitochondria health.
This study shows the effects of different types of textile fabric on spermatogenesis: electrostatic potentials generated on the surface of the human scrotum by wearing different types of fabric

They took different textiles and compared the spermatogenesis of creation / quality of sperm in 21 healthy volunteers. Even though this study population was very small it found that the polyester group had lower spermatogenesis which was most likely caused by the change in electrostatic potential across the scrotum.
So, all in all especially around the important areas of your ie your reproductive system it is important to be aware what types of material are in constant contact with.
Stay away from the polyester, spandex, nylon, elastane, and rayon and instead choose the options like cotton (organic is best), linen, hemp and wool depending on the time of the year.

How about an increase of fat soluble vitamins in the diet? How about clean drinking for all children without microplastics or chemicals? How about more movement? How about stronger community bonds?
We MUST make this a priority so that our country won’t be able to economically support the astronomical amount of chronic disease that will overflow our country!
