Sometimes in life it's nice to just escape the grind and enjoy the moment. These 4 senior dogs have had some serious battles with health and injuries. Tough street living. Derek, McMuffin, Snoop and Lady are all lucky to still be here. They spend so much time getting treatment and recovering that today I just wanted to give them something they'd never forget. A day that nobody can ever take away from them.
This might not saved the 1000s of dogs l'm trying to but doing things like this are important. These aren't just worthless creatures that should be left on the street to die a miserable lonely death in pain. These are wonderful animals that experience emotions just like we do.

This is Penny. She is about 1 year old and has suffered significant trauma from being abused and tortured. With lots of help from others, we took her in and saved her broken leg. It might take her a little while trust again and feel safe but her future is bright and hopefully a lucky home and family is waiting for her in the near future🏡 #dogrescue #streetdog
These puppies needed to be moved urgently.
The problem was that mum was very protective. They are part of a group of 17-20 dogs at the beach and the local resorts didn't want them around so we were under serious time pressure to find solutions.
These things take a small army of people. Today I had lots of people helping on logistics and making a safe place for them at the land.
Once mum was in her little home she relaxed. She quickly realized we were on her side bringing lots of food, water and medical support for her and the pups. She is in a big enclosed safe area at the land and can raise her puppies with our help now. They look super cute so finding them homes when they grow a little (they can barely open their eyes yet) will be the next step.
Things wouldn't have ended well if they stayed where they were so getting them moved was essential. Now they all have a much better shot at a happy life. #dogrescue #streetdog

Dogs and children can teach us a lot about pure kindness and love. Tina has only known pain and suffering in her life until recently. She was the perfect dog to bring along to help teach children about being kind to dogs. Luckily Tina and the kids spoke the same language of kindness already.
As I took Tina home she was utterly exhausted but I could tell she was beaming with happiness. She’d been given a present, showered with hugs, strokes and love and relished every second of it.
A beautiful moment that Tina could never have imagine a few months ago. You just know many of those children will go on to spread the word about kindness to dogs.
