Hey guys, check out this fresh new #Hamsa ! This is a 10 note D minor extension we call Celtic Solstice, and made on "titan" stainless steel from @domoshells
The Celtic Solstice is a hybrid of two 9 note scales to create an awesome 10 noter! The Celtic Minor and Solstice scales combine for a slightly different flavor than the standard Celtic 10. By adding a high E5 instead of a D5, it opens the scale up to a whole new dimension of harmony. The Celtic Minor scale is one of the most beloved and enjoyed scales in the handpan world for it’s smooth, meditative mood. The Celtic Solstice has the same smoothness just with some added color. In combination with the Aegean scale this instrument seems to have limitless beauty. The Has hints of C major, G major, B minor and E minor. The Cloud 9 is a scale that Hamsa founder and his old mentor Dave Beery came up with together and was the scale of Stevan’s first handpan! This scale is so much fun regardless of your skill level and has a very unique voicing. What sets this scale apart from other minors is the high notes so full of emotion. They dance expressively on top of the grounded low end of the scale for a perfectly balanced scale. We have missed this scale and now that we’re had it in our lap again, we will be making more! #hamsa #handpans #newmusic #losangeles #drum
