This Has 70 Times More Lycopene Than Tomatoes
🩸
It’s called ‘GAC’ fruit (also known as Momordica Cochinchinensis’ and it’s a tropical fruit primarily found in Southeast Asia, particularly in Vietnam. GAC fruit is also known by other names such as spiny bitter gourd, sweet gourd, and baby jackfruit.
One of the most unique aspects of the GAC fruit is its vibrant red color. The fruit is not only beautiful to look at but also packed with nutrients, particularly carotenoids. In fact, the GAC fruit has 70 times more lycopene than tomatoes and 10 times more beta-carotene than carrots.
If you are interested in growing GAC fruit, there are a few things to keep in mind. Firstly, GAC is a dioecious plant, which means that male and female flowers are found on separate plants. This makes it essential to have at least one male and one female plant for successful fruit production.
Additionally, GAC is a vining plant that requires a lot of space to grow. It is recommended to plant the vines on a trellis or fence to provide support. GAC plants also require a lot of sunlight and warm temperatures to grow properly.
GAC plants are quite hardy and can tolerate a range of soil types. They are also resistant to most pests and diseases, making them a low-maintenance plant to grow.
But they took me 4 months to germinate and sprout up into a plant, and haven’t grown fruit in a year😂🙏.
The GAC fruit is a unique and beautiful tropical fruit with numerous health benefits. While growing the plant can be a bit challenging, it is well worth the effort for the delicious and nutritious fruit it produces.
Are You Going To Try It?

Strawberry TREES Exist. I Found One In Portugal. (“The Medrono Tree”)
🍓
Most people don’t even know that Strawberry Trees exist. And you can find them in one country in the Mediterranean - Portugal. So, I went to Portugal and found the strawberry tree.
But to be honest…I didn’t just go to Portugal to find ONLY the strawberry tree. I also went to find the fruit that you make Gin with, the fruit that you make incense with, and the tree that you make cork purses with. I found some really cool fruits in the wild - and some really amazing food in the city.
I had never been to Portugal before, so I was really excited to find this strawberry tree and actually taste it for the first time.

Don’t Watch This If You Eat Figs…
🐝
Some Figs Have Dead Wasps Inside Of Them
🌱
Figs are pollinated by female wasps, and they’re not actually fruits but inverted flowers - so wasps crawl inside, lay eggs and fertilizes the flowers with pollen from other figs.
The wasp eggs hatch into larvae and they feed on the interior of the fig before pupating and exiting the fig as adult wasps.
I had no hope for my fig seeds but that’s clearly not the truth bc i kept these seeds for two years. and last week i opened my fig seeds to see some of the seeds sprouted. so i planted them in soil.
Now it is worth mentioning that not all figs contain wasp larvae, especially those sold in the grocery store because figs can also be grown without pollination by wasps so they don’t contain any eggs.
Even when a fig does contain wasp eggs or larvae, they are so small and microscopic that they are typically digested along with the rest of the fig's flesh when it is eaten. So, while the idea of wasps inside a fig might sound strange or unappetizing, it's actually a natural part of the fig's life cycle and doesn't usually have any impact on the fig's taste or nutritional value.
It’s also so cool that figs are one of the oldest fruits in the world, being grown for over 5000 years and used widely in ancient medicine for coughs and sore throats and of course, in cuisine. In ancient Greece, figs were considered a sacred fruit and were associated with fertility and love.
Go grow them!🌱
