Let’s #GoXplr the abandoned Battery David Hunter in New Castle, New Hampshire! This reinforced concrete coastal gun battery was built in 1904 during the Endicott Period. It was completed to help defend Portsmouth Harbor and the Naval Shipyard. The battery remained operational until the end of World War 2. It has sat abandoned since 1945 and is currently part of the Fort Stark Historic Site.
