👉 The objective of POLLINIZERS is to generate discursive bridges between product design and social ecology. The central idea is based on how we understand and perceive the importance of bees in our environment and their role in the pollination of wild and cultivated plants, mainly in a country like Mexico where in many cases the peasantry and agricultural production are self-managed and traditional, and what parallels we can find here with design practices, contemporary crafts, and rescue of trades.

🐝Eric Vides Borrell and the Ecosur team were in charge of advising on the diversity of native bees in Mexico (more than two thousand species) for this project.
🤜🤛The polishing work on the pieces to achieve the effect of visually reproducing the bees was a collaboration between Jason Pfohl and the @gorillaglass team.
