The rope triceps extension (aka pulldown) is one of the most popular exercises in the gym, so it's important that we perform it correctly! Unfortunately it's one of the most common exercises to see people doing with suboptimal technique đ
My number one tip is to keep your elbows locked throughout the movement - don't allow them to come forward as the weight returns to the stack. Our goal is to isolate the triceps muscle groups, so we don't want other muscle groups doing all the work. Keeping our elbows locked will reduce momentum (we don't want momentum when the goal is to build muscle) and also means that the triceps will do the large majority of the work! đȘTry locking those elbows next time you do your rope extensions! đ#triceps
