On September 18, 2023, the Michelson Institute for Pet Professions (MIPP) hosted a “Growth in Grooming” Career Fair at Groomers Pro in Hawthorne, CA. Industry pros and aspiring pet professionals came together to network, learn, and grow the pet wellness community. We loved meeting everyone and answering questions about the industry. We were especially impressed by the united passion for animals and the desire to learn more about careers in grooming. Together we provided wellness and hygiene services to 242 pets resulting in 163 families who received direct service for their pets. That figure does not include the many families that made their way through the event space just to visit the various vendors and take advantage of the many resources and giveaways that were offered, including pet adoptions.
