Meet Jace + Kyla, two toddlers currently in the care of a Caregiver couple who reached out to Fosterful in desperate need of support.
The need: Simple.
The impact? Significant.
This Caregiver couple hadn’t been on a date in over a year.
Enter Fosterful Sidekicks.
We matched one of our trained Case Aide volunteers with these Caregivers, who provided date night babysitting for Jace + Kyla–because every hero needs a Sidekick, or in this case, heroes!
Not only did the Sidekick volunteer have a blast hanging out with their heroes, but the Caregivers returned home from their concert date night unable to contain their joy! They were thrilled to have that time of reconnection and it was evident how much they needed that quality time together while knowing a trusted adult was looking after the children in their care.

Emma's journey has been challenging and trauma-filled, as is the journey of many children experiencing foster care. She recently had been dealing with some troubles surrounding nap time at daycare. Unable to sit still during the scheduled nap time, she was on the verge of being removed from the daycare, leaving her Caregiver overwhelmed and unsure of where to turn.
Thanks to the generosity of a donor like you, Fosterful sent in a Case Aide “Sidekick” volunteer to support Emma and her Caregiver.
This volunteer picks Emma up from daycare during nap time every week and spends a few hours of fun with her – taking her to the park, ice cream, or other local outings!
Emma looks forward to time with her Sidekick so much that nap time at daycare is a breeze for the remainder of the week, in anticipation of spending time with her Sidekick again.
