Archer lands the largest total contract value with the U.S. Air Force of any OEM in the eVTOL industry; with a total value of up to $142M.

The U.S. military has always focused on ensuring our country maintains our edge with emerging technology. With Archer recently completing the manufacturing of its first Midnight aircraft, the DOD recognizes that its vertical takeoff and landing capabilities, ~1,000lbs of payload, proprietary electric powertrain system, and low noise profile, represent a potential paradigm shift in military aviation and operations.

This new execution phase of Archer’s partnership with the Air Force’s AFWERX program includes the delivery of up to 6 Midnight aircraft. Over the long term, the goal is to deploy Midnight at scale for use in personnel transport and logistics support, rescue operations and more.

These new contracts set the table for Archer’s relationship with the DOD to continue to grow as they’re structured in a way that allows other military branches the opportunity to leverage them as a platform for additional projects and investment.

Archer is proud to have hosted President Biden’s AAM Federal Interagency Working Group at our flight test facility recently. The group was made up of 70+ representatives from the White House, DOT, FAA, NASA, FCC, DOD, DHS, NTIA and several other agencies. They witnessed a live flight test while learning about our growing readiness for commercialization in 2025.

It's almost Midnight in Paris...

If you're attending the Paris Air Show, drop by our booth at the Paris Air Mobility Event in Hall 5 to join our team and Stellantis and experience Midnight during its European debut.
As the first build of our Midnight aircraft rapidly advances towards flight test, we're working in parallel with @United to mature our plans around commercial operations. Over the last year, we collaborated closely together with state and local stakeholders in both New York and Chicago to announce the first point-to-point eVTOL routes, and we are working in earnest to explore additional routes in other cities across the U.S.

We're starting these collaborations with state and local stakeholders now, well in advance of our planned entry into service 2025, to give us ample time to ensure the existing heliport and general aviation infrastructure can support our planned service in 2025 and beyond.

Archer and @united are excited to announce Chicago's first commercial electric air taxi route - O'Hare International Airport to Vertiport Chicago. This location was selected because from there passengers will be able to travel to and from ORD via Archer’s Midnight aircraft in approximately 10 minutes. Our goal is to provide residents and visitors in the Chicago area with a safe, sustainable, low noise, and cost-competitive alternative to ground transportation beginning in 2025.
