PSA: a reservation is required to access this area.
For beginner or if you don’t really care to hike, you can drive all the way to the summit leaving less than a mile to hike to the summit.
If you want more of a workout and even more epic views, start at summit lake which will take you across the ridge over Mount Spaulding then to the Mount Evans Summit for 5.2 miles with a 2k elevation gain.

Comfortably sleeps 4, this cabin has all the amenities you need including a hot tub and what’s a cabin in the woods without a fire pit anyway??
Located about an hour outside of Denver in Black Hawk, CO and only an hour and a half away from Breck. The cabin is located back in the woods down a dirt road with little to no cell service. FYI 4x4 is required during the winter months.

But tbh this hike turned out even better than I thought considering it’s not in RMNP. My expectations were low but tbh add this one to your list. My review: Difficulty, pretty easy so 3/10…Views: 7/10.
