You've gotta check out this beginner/moderate hike right outside of Salida. There are amazing views all the way through, but the view of the city and the Arkansas River from the top make for a perfect postcard! Most people hike, but you can drive almost all the way to the top, making it a great stop for everyone. There's even backcountry access! #cohikes #coloradodaytrip #coloradotravel #coloradoadventures

If you've never been this far west in Colorado, this one is worth the trip! There are goregous canyon views, amazing rock formations, and the geology of this area is over 1.7 billion years old! This is literally one of the most unique hikes in America, and it's only 20 minutes from Denver! This one is free from sunrise to sunset, but it's more than worth it to take a tour with a geologist. This one is a long drive for a day trip, but it couldn't be more worth it! There's an ADA acessible path leading up to the waterfalls, so this one is good for everyone! This park is even more beautiful during the lush early summer months, and it does get packed, so go now during the off-season or take an early day trip to avoid the crowds.
