Securing a spot for your song on a Spotify branded playlist is a mixture of a lot of luck and determination. You can only achieve it by submitting for playlisting directly via your distributor or label. Anyone who tells you that they can get you on New Music Friday for a fee, is being dishonest.
Now, if an independent playlist curator (not affiliated to Spotify or any other streaming platform) charges to include your song in their personal playlist, that’s a different story… BUT it’s important to know that these playlists often inflate their listener count with fake accounts, meaning that when you think you’re paying for your music to reach 10,000 people in reality you’re barely reaching a fraction of that.
