Looking back over footage from this past year is so overwhelming. 🎥
I’m overwhelmed with gratitude for the incredible things we were able to do, people we met, places we experienced and life we lived. 🌼
Though the year was book ended with the loss of my sweet grandparents (grandma in January and grandpa in December 😥) and the loss of our kitty, I still feel an overwhelming sense of gratitude for life. 🍀
Which is pretty significant because when my grandma passed in January and we came home for a long cold Washington winter, I struggled with wanting to keep going somedays. Not that I was suicidal, I just wanted to be done. I wanted to go home, to my final rest in heaven. I was tired of striving.
But by God’s grace I feel a renewed sense of excitement for life and a passion to keep running the race. 🏃♀️
We are in a position now that’s incredibly challenging and we have much to navigate, hard decisions that need to be made in terms of our future and how we’re gonna keep fuel in the tank and wheels on the road. But I trust in God’s faithfulness and I know that there is purpose and meaning in every part of life. I’m seeking to learn that purpose more each day. 🙏

It’s hard to accept the reality that I can’t go visit him or pick up the phone and call. He always loved talking about RV travel stuff because after he retired he and my grandma got a Class A motorhome and toured the country for 10 years. He loved the Southwest region and would often bring us fun presents from the desert. 🏜️
I think that definitely contributed to my Gypsy spirit. 🌼

My heart is so heavy. 🥺 Please pray for my grandpa. He’s been holding on ever since grandma passed away…but I think he’s getting tired. 😥 my heart hurts so much.
And I can’t believe the timing of this…I called my mom this morning to wish her a happy birthday, and while we were on the phone she got a text from my dad that said: things aren't good. Dr suggested we all be here as soon as we can. 💔
A little bit later my husband came home from the post office with this package from grandpa. 💌
He is so sweet and thoughtful.
