We don’t have many #HolidayTraditions . For us the #holidays are simply a time to spend a bit of quiet #FamilyTime . The one #tradition that seems to have carried forward from other youth are #FreshlyBaked #ChristmasMorning #CranberryMuffins . With so many travellers still stranded by storms this holiday season, I am feeling most fortunate to be enjoying this tradition. Merry Christmas, everyone!
#Calgary Airport on Sunday morning, December 18th, 2022 before the storms in Western Canada got really bad. We followed our @westjet flight attendants instructions to queue up to speak to Customer Assistance about our missed connections. For me that ended up being a 6 1/2 hour queue (8 hours for a family behind me) with no communication from #WestJet that entire time, only to be told by WestJet that if we were on the first flight of the day from Vancouver the airline would not help with delay related expenses, as they said the delay was the responsibility of @yvrairport . No managers were available to speak with concerned travellers, and one attendant ripped up a couple’s ticket for asking to speak to a manager.

Feeling rather #awesome today as I enjoy my coffee and smile upon last night’s awesome evening, a night filled with good company, conversation, and the tastes, sights and people of #BeautifulBC , thanks to Destination BC and the Teahouse at Stanley Park. To top it all off I returned home to find a present on my doorstep and a You Are Awesome laminate left anonymously! That made me feel pretty awesome.
Sharing that #YouAreAwesome message with @destinationbc for the wonderful evening and BC goodies to bring home, the Teahouse at Stanley Park for the wonderful setting and warm and friendly staff, all the people I enjoyed chatting away with last night, @vpisteve for the present on my doorstep and just generally being you, Andrew for all you do to look out for me and fix for me (it is highly appreciated, as is your friendship), for Miss Ella for slowing down long enough to smell the ferns with me, and to whomever was kind enough to leave me that beautiful little message last night.
