Nowhere in the Bible does it say that "God will never give you more than you can handle" I mean it's a nice statement but it's definitely not true! God does say He won't allow us to be tempted beyond what we can bear and that He always provides a way out. (1

Corinthians 10:13)

Why? Because God most definitely will give us more than we can handle. Is it because he doesn't like you? Absolutely not! He always has good in mind! We may not like the situation we're in, we may not like what's going on, but that doesn't mean we have to stay that way.

God doesn't expect us to "handle" everything we're facing. He wants us to hand it over to Him.

The Apostle Paul wrote: "We do not want you to be uninformed, brothers and sisters, about the troubles we experienced in the province of Asia. We were under great pressure, far beyond our ability to endure, so that we despaired of life itself. Indeed, we felt we had received the sentence of death. But this happened that we might not rely on ourselves but on God, who raises the dead" (2 Corinthians 1:8-9) He doesn't want us to rely on our own strength. He wants us to rely solely on His strength. If we walk around thinking God won't give us more than we can handle, we end up becoming suspicious of God. We know we're facing things that are too much for us. We may have a million questions as to why is this happening? Why me? What did I do? Then you start telling yourself, things will never get better but where does that get you? List the things you know for certain, the main thing being God is good, no matter what. Whatever situation you're in God wants what's best for you. He never promised a life without pain or suffering, he promised it would happen, 1 Peter 5:10 tells us that. There's also benefits to pain and suffering according to that scripture too. The Bible says Phil.3:10, that we may know Him and the power of his resurrection and notice next part, fellowship of His Sufferings. So we will suffer in this life, no one is spared. Pain and suffering draws you closer to God than anything else you'll go through in life. Draw near to God, and God will draw near too you.
