Join our Southeast Asian Youth Power (SEAYP) leadership program that aims to foster leadership, critical thinking, political advocacy, and civic engagement in young Southeast Asian leaders in Stockton through learning about and mobilizing around issues of social justice.
Check out our SEAYP alum, Diane, speak about their experience: “I think if you really want to find a connection with Stockton and just connection with people you kind of don't have an understanding of, why is Stockton so good, and you want to learn more about it, I think it's definitely a program (SEAYP) to be a part of, not also about Stockton, but more about being a leader yourself, a youth leader, and showing other youths that they have a voice and they can do something great with it.”
EMAC strongly believes that young people have the power to positively impact their communities if presented with the opportunity to do so. Participants will have the opportunity to engage in dialogue focusing on identity, history, culture, and life experiences with other young people, anti-deportation activism, re-entry and community safety, and local organizing in Stockton.
