Many men have the instinctual need to solve a problem directly when somebody comes to them with one. However, most of the time this backfires because the person never follows through with the advice and then feels like he isn’t listening.
A way for a man to change his dynamic is by switching from problem-solving to questioning. This will help inspire the person to find an answer themselves that they actually feel intrinsically motivated to put action to.

Most men aren’t encouraged to complement each other or to accept compliments. They are often pushed into being motivated by negative reinforcement instead of positive reinforcement.
So whenever someone comes in with a genuine heart, and tries to do the opposite of what they’re used to they immediately become suspicious instead of appreciative, but then they are left, feeling unhappy and unfulfilled, and aren’t quite sure why.
Recalibrating our belief system to understand we can accept love, compliments, and appreciation, helps us feel more fulfilled, and also helps us trust ourselves more when we think someone may be taking advantage of us.

Men are much more wired to focus on big changes as opposed to small details. They do not find it productive to mention or complain about small things, and this is often a state of discontentment between men and women in heterosexual relationships.

👉How to stop exploding (save this for later)
One of the biggest reasons I see men explode is because they fail to state their needs ahead of time.
They find it unproductive to complain about small things, but don’t realize the buildup of resentment that’s happening and end up getting so angry they have an emotional outburst. You can learn to mitigate that in these ways:
👉Have a built-in self-care routine DAILY to help decrease stress
👉Have a gratitiude routine with your partner or friends, where you appreciate something about each other each day
👉 call out hurtful or bother some things in the moment so you can avoid the buildup of resentment.
👉 set personal boundaries so you know when your overstepping your own giving capacity.
Once you learn the skills, stating your needs becomes less of a confrontation and a complaint, and more of just a normal conversation that doesn’t start up any drama.

Many men I work with struggle allowing their partner to make mistakes. They hate seeing their partners in pain so instead they jump in to try to help them or solve the problem, or save them, when really the best support they can give some times is just let it be.
