I have painted this painting from one of my meeting places with Jesus. Outside the city wall in heaven. At this tree, Jesus is always waiting for me. Here I get to sit with Jesus and be renewed. Here he shares his heart with me.
Do you have such a meeting place with Jesus? A secluded place for just you and him?
Jesus longs to share such moments with me and you. With his friends. You are so precious to Him. No one can ever fill your space in His heart!

Partnering with God
When I say โco-creating,โ I am not placing myself on the same level as God. First and foremost, I am surrendering to God as Creator. I am participating in my relationship with God and owning my role here on earth.
The invitation to co-create is the invitation to:
Recognize that God is within you. Do you not know that you are Godโs temple and that Godโs Spirit dwells in you? (1 Corinthians 3:16).
Acknowledge your God-given gifts and the call to use them. To each is given the manifestation of the Spirit for the common good (1 Corinthians 12:7).
Take ownership of your call to be a steward of all Godโs creation. For we are co-workers in Godโs service; you are Godโs field, Godโs building (1 Corinthians 3:9).

Around 3 years ago a desperate longing started to form in my heart. I prayed earnestly that God would grant me the ability to paint. It was a rather desperate and intense feeling. Quite strange. I have never before been particularly interested in any form of art, nor in painting. It was as if this longing had been placed there. More specifically, I wanted to convey through painting what God wanted to say to people. I wanted people to meet the Heart of God through my art.
When I, in the beginning of January 2019, got out an old paint kit my daughter had laying around, unopened, in a cupboard, I was taken aback by what took shape before my eyes. I had created a small boy holding a sailboat. And he seemed so alive. I started to cry as I realized, there and then, that God had answered my prayer.
I have been painting a lot since then. It has been a magical journey. Often I am shown very specifically what to paint in images and in words.
I am not sure where this journey will eventually lead, but I am happy because I feel that I am part of some larger plan that God has.
