Today we honour the lost children and Survivors of residential schools, their families and communities. Public commemoration of the tragic and painful history and ongoing impacts of residential schools is a vital component of the reconciliation process. Our Indigenous Voices in Canada trip focuses on actively engaging with contemporary First Nations, Métis, and Inuit authors, poets, journalists, and community collaborators. Through in-person interactions and the exploration of their writings, we aim to foster meaningful dialogues, generate thoughtful inquiries, and contribute to narratives regarding the journey towards Truth and Reconciliation.
