My lunch today was a quick, simple chicken salad with a tahini dressing. So good! I prepped the chicken a couple of days ago so it only took a few minutes to put together. Nothing complicated or gourmet but it was tasty, filling and this is the way I love to eat. I enjoy it but I also feel better when most of my meals are like this - lots of veggies, some complex carbs and quality protein, a little bit of fat and loads of flavour!

I bought this dress for Wimbledon. When it arrived, I tried it on and loved it. But this morning, I felt a little bloated, the dress looked a little tighter … and I felt body conscious. So much, that I almost didn’t wear it. Then I realised … so what?! So what if my stomach looks rounded? So what if it’s tight and you can see some lumps and bumps? It’s just my body and it’s just a dress.
A dress I love, is comfortable and feels good.
So I had word with myself, I wore the dress and didn’t give it another thought.

If you still struggle with these thoughts too, I just want to share with you that getting to a happy place is possible but it takes time and work. I’m in my 40s and after decades of a difficult relationship with my body, and focusing on all the things I didn’t like, I’m here. I love my body and dress in a way that I feels good.

I’m not saying the thoughts will all go away; I’m saying they can become less frequent, less powerful and it gets easier to talk yourself into a better headspace.

Start now - take a minute and tell yourself something you love about your body. Say it aloud and mean it! Our body does so much for us. It deserves to be loved and dressed in whatever fabulous clothes you want to wear. #eathappyfeelgood #loveyourbody #selflove
