So when drawing blood and tge nurse inserts the needle multiple times to find a vein, this could happen?!

Severe Complications from re-insertion are thankfully rare but this practice should still be avoided !

Ex nhs phlebo here - we were encouraged to reuse a needle if the vein wasn’t hit first time…to save money! Never did & always used a new one as a rule

1) Im a phlebotomist & used to work in a hospital I saw so many doctors re use needles it’s actually scary always remember to advocate for yourself
