#affiliate Pixel Cubes are small magnetic cubes (that are reminiscent of some of the popular block building online games). Our son (first grade) loves them and the magnets allow for much more creative designs than standard blocks. The storage bag is great too.

Mount Angel's Glockenspiel celebrates the German-Swiss-
Bavarian heritage of the village and our 53 year old
Oktoberfest. The first figure represents the Native Americans
who came to this place to communicate with the Great Spirit,
followed by figures depicting the founders of both the civil
and religious communities of Mount Angel and the frivolity
and fun of the Oktoberfest.

The Glockenspiel plays at 11 a.m., 1, 4 and 7 p.m. daily. The
clock is large and clearly visible; the bells are sharp and
precise in their sound. However, the animated figures are the
real traffic stoppers. Wherever Glockenspiels are located,
they become tourist destinations, with crowds gathering on
the appointed hours to watch the figures as they dance about and

I know I’ve posted a lot of videos of the peter Iredale shipwreck, but I just can’t get enough of it! The kids spent hours exploring the beach, and they kept coming back to the shipwreck.

I wish I had learned this lesson way sooner in life! There’s no sense in sticking with a poor decision any longer than necessary- self flagellation only results in shame and paralysis. Acknowledge the poor decision and move onto your next thing.

Here are some of the featured aircraft at the Evergreen Air Museum in McMinnville:
-Hughes H-4 Hercules (Spruce Goose): The Spruce Goose is the largest flying boat ever built. It was designed by Howard Hughes and flew for the first time in 1947.
-B-29 Superfortress: The B-29 Superfortress was a heavy bomber that was used in World War II and the Korean War. It is best known for its role in the atomic bombing of Japan.
-SR-71 Blackbird: The SR-71 Blackbird is a retired spy plane that was the fastest aircraft in the world. It could fly at speeds of over Mach 3.

These are just a few of the many aircraft that are on display at the Evergreen Air Museum. It is a great place to learn about the history of aviation and space exploration.
