The recipe is almost as lazy as this voiceover 🫠👇🏼but soooooooo good!
Love you Grams. 🕊️
Preheat your oven to 475
2 cups of self rising flour* (if you don’t have it, you’ll have to add baking powder and salt to all-purpose)
1/4 cup of shortening (you can use butter instead; they may not rise as much)
2/3 cup of cold buttermilk* or add a tsp of white vinegar or lemon juice to whole milk
Work shortening into the flour with your hands until all the big lumps are broken up and it resembles cornmeal
Add 1/3 of the buttermilk at a time and mix with each addition before adding the next.
Flatten out the dough until it is about 1/2” thick. Dust your cutter with flour and push straight down without twisting. Place on a parchment lined sheet pan and brush butter on top. You can sprinkle sugar here if you’d like them sweeter. bake for about 10-12 minutes. You will see the bottoms begin to brown when they’re done. Enjoy!!🤍#biscuits
