We’ve joined forces with makers/designers Oteeum to develop these Textile Waste Fibre cushions; made right here in Sydney.
At a glance it might look like the speckled colouring is a print, but it’s actually an outer layer of transparent silk organza revealing the many colours of textile waste fibre stuffed inside. This waste fibre was recovered from @citizen_wolf ’s post-production offcuts by our textile recycling mill in Hong Kong, The Billie.
Our goal with these designs was to showcase this waste fibre as both a practical alternative to traditional polyfil or stuffing material, and as a beautiful and unique design feature.
We’re just about to kick off production of a small range of these in multiple colours, so stay tuned!
