They show up almost every day and make something. Ive been drawing almost every day since I was 5. 20 years of showing up and making art and people start calling you “talented”. It takes time, dedication, and an insane amount of belief in yourself to build the life of your dreams.
I was going through old photos today and found this one of me skipping class and painting my own projects because i didnt like being told what to make. Shortly after this i dropped out of art school. I worked really hard and strategically to be able to do what i do today. It is possible to be a full time artist - it takes an insane amount of passion and dedication. A lot of patience too.
The thing that makes it possible in the end is believing that you can figure it out and that success is possible and worth the effort. Its not luck, its strategy, dedication, and a continual belief in your own potential

I got a notification that my iCloud storage is full after years of deleting nothing… so I’ve spent the last 2 days going through my old photos and I found a bunch of photos of my older art! They aren’t in my current art style but nonetheless they are part of my personal art history. They are what’s brought me to be who I am today. The months I spent living on the road and making art played a huge part in shaping the person I am today and it’s so cool sharing that with you all now!
