RIP Dugans 🪦 🍗✨…even though you’re just movin further East..
It’s weird to say, but Dugans was kinda like church. It was a source of community. It was inter generational. People came from all different backgrounds to gather around that old, legendary mahogany bar. You could get game from an OG your parents or ya uncle’s age at Dugans. Meet somebody in business or finance. Or somebody who used to sing background for Avant. And Friday / Saturday nights was smooth. OGs and Aunties alike coming in with that sh*t on to vibe and have a good time. and Karaoke nights brung everyone together. God Bless these types of communal spaces. And I love seeing Black people joyful and looking good. Dugan’s and Ms Roxy probably saved my life a few times, in my younger twenties tryna figure it out.
