Part two of back arching mobility and prep.
When working with these drills, remember to squeeze your glutes to keep the lower part of the spine secure. For the back bridge and wall touches make sure that the elbows are locked and shoulders are elevated.
For the rotational bridge experiment with the right distance from the wall, allow for a bend in the elbows and rotate on the pisiform bone.

Instead of drawing the conclusion that something is too hard or ‘not for me,’ we work with people to see things as a process and trust that through detailed and focused work, you will often improve faster than you think. Of course, there are times when things are truly too difficult, and in those cases, we scale down. However, quite often, you are closer than you think.

At Crazy Monkey we use a unique combination of gymnastics strength training for the upper body and weightlifting for the lower body to create a strong, mobile and resilient body. On top of that, we have a ton of tools for prehab/rehab and conditioning for all the joints of the body.
Our dedicated strength and conditioning classes are on Monday evening Tuesday morning and Friday morning. If you cannot make it on these times, don’t worry, many of the tools are also covered during our daily Movement classes.
As a member, you’ll even have access to the studio during the numerous Self Practice hours scheduled around the classes, providing ample opportunities to work on your practice.

The bridge rotation is a good way to work on your shoulder and spine mobility. You can start on the wall, progress to the floor and over time push your hips higher. We help our students get a good bridge rotation, so that they can start exploring different entries and exits during their improvisation on the floor.

Strength training is an important pillar of our movement practice at Crazy Monkey. We are strict with technique and always work with full range of motion. Our goal is to give our students the knowledge and tools so that they can work properly and help each other. After a couple of sessions, every newcomer starts to get the hang of it and soon enough develops an eye for technique and the mindset to really push themselves.
