Made this dress and bonnet in less than 2 days, while trying to prep for Thanksgiving!
Didn’t manage to get a pic before my Pumpkin got cranberry sauce on herself though 🫢
It was an easy project, and though there was a couple mistakes, overall its the neatest thing I have sewn.
Certainly helped me get my sewjo back.
I was glad I could make this for the Pumpkin (who really wanted to dress up as a Pilgrim), I’ve asked her to give me more than 48 hours notice the next time she wants a costume made!
I’ll be posting more pictures once I’ve got it washed again, but was so proud if this make, so I had to share.

As things get darker and colder (in the Northern Hemisphere anyway), my depression is definitely turning up a few notches.
As much as that sucks, there are a few things you can do about it. This is just what I’m currently doing about mine.

Things I learned after grouting the kitchen:
1) wear a mask and have a window open when mixing grout
2) don’t leave your mixing paddle in the bucket of grout (the sugar water trick didn’t work for me)
3) I dislike grouting walls
4) I’m proud that despite the having the blues, I got something done.
I’m one step closer to having the cozy magic home of my dreams!

My #freemotionquiltingfoot came in the post this morning, so of course i had to play with it it!
It’s been a while since I’ve sat at my sewing machine, today made me realize how much I miss it.

Taking a few days off from the kitchen so I can clean the rest of my house, and I think the my kitchen may need a chalkboard again.

My kiddo really wants a social media account, but she is way too young for that. As a compromise, my husband and I agreed that she can occasionally help me film/do the voiceovers.
She asked to help with the narration today. I think she thinks my tiling skills are good!
