5 Common Makeup Mistakes
1. Skipping skincare/prep work. Peach fuzz not only looks awful covered in makeup, it creates texture which doesn’t allow the makeup to apply properly. Start by removing it with a facial razor. Exfoliate 1-2/week, moisturize daily & don’t skip the sunscreen.
2. Wrong Color - It can be hard finding your perfect shades. As someone who colour matched clients for a living, a lot goes into it. Age, skin type, undertone, problem areas, etc…. If you want help, go to www.matchmeval.com.
3. Wrong Brush - Brushes are designed for specific types of makeup. Choosing a powder brush to apply cream won’t work well. Brushes also determine the coverage you get. If you want full coverage you will want a dense brush. Light coverage you will want a fluffier brush.
4. Placement - If you’re over 30, things start going down hill. Your makeup placement can give you a lift if done correctly.
5. Brows - Don’t skip them! Fill them, use brow wax to lift them, tint them, micro blade them, there are so many options out there today!
