I was updating my client list in Notion and realized they’ve integrated the Chat GBT tech, so I started playing around with it. In under a minute I was given lists of large companies, direct-to-consumer brands, CPG brands with over 100k followers… all of which align with my current roster and I can now pitch stop-motion work to!

Motherhood is multiple conflicting feelings at once. It’s joyful and it’s sad. It’s easy and it’s hard. It’s empowering and defeating. But best of all it is magical. It’s a constant feeling of wonder and awe, watching this tiny human make sense of the world.

I shot the stop-motion portion first, and then brought Nico in to shoot the live-action part. It was high stakes because I knew we only had one chance to get it right, considering we were interacting with the bib that had just animated! Nico did great and I love how it turned out.

This day was perfect. We went down to the beach at low tide to look for starfish and the sun was just setting. I dreamed of days like this during our season of waiting… but never could’ve imagined them to be this good. I’ve finally learned to trust more in the universe’s timing. That this boy, this beach walk, and this sunset all happened right when they were meant to.

How I make homemade matcha! 🍵 I’ve really refined my process and technique over the past 6 years— especially after learning from a family I stayed with in Japan. I love the ritual of making matcha, the earthy cozy taste, and the way it gives me a sustained & focused energy with no bad side effects.
🍵
Here’s my process:
💧 Heat water in an electric kettle to exactly 175 degrees.
🥄 Scoop 1tsp of high quality matcha into matcha bowl (good matcha should be BRIGHT green and be stored in the fridge. Mine is from @ashateahouse).
🫖 Pour the water into the bowl, filling it a little under halfway. Aim for the side of the bowl so you don’t scorch the powder!
🎋 Using a bamboo whisk, make a ‘W’ shape in the bowl, whisking back and forth (not in circles) for about 30 seconds until you see bubbles and no clumps.
🚿 Rinse whisk and put back on holder.
#️ ⃣ Pour the bowl of matcha over a mini strainer, into your mug.
🥛 Froth oatmilk (or milk of choice) in a milk frother and pour into the mug.
😋 Enjoy!!!!
