At Coastal Pediatric Dental & Anesthesia, patient safety is a top priority. Every two years, our clinical staff completes recertification in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Pediatric Life Support (PALS), and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS). We are fortunate to have a great relationship with our instructor, Renny, who has been helping us stay certified for years.
We pay attention to all the details surrounding our patients’ safety. Our staff’s certifications and safety education are all up to date. Our QuadA certification provides official recognition that our facility has meet 100% of its high surgical and anesthesia standards ⛑️❤️🩹

According to the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry (AAPD), and our lovely friends at the American Academy of Pediatrics (AAP), we recommend the first dental exam by their first birthday 🥳🎂. We love to establish the dental home early, before problems arise.
Our initial exams allow an assessment of growth and development, educate parents/guardians, and measure potential factors that may increase cavity risk.
First exam deets:
✅ Parent/guardian education for oral hygiene (kids don’t brush, you do!)
✅ Nutritional counseling
✅ Assess oral habits
✅ Discuss specific anticipatory guidance
✅Evaluate teeth eruption and Growth/Development
